Centra Heart & Vascular Institute has an opportunity available for a general cardiology NP/PA. 

This exciting position offers a mix of practice-base and hospital rounding of Cardiology patients in the Farmville, VA area.

Position Details:

·       Monday-Friday work schedule, days

·       No Weekends or Holidays

·       Position based in Centra Southside Community Hospital

·       1-2 days/week – seeing patients in out-patient clinic (hospital follow-ups)

Centra Heart & Vascular Institute is home to thirty cardiologists and twenty-nine APPs, all who specialize in the major disciplines of cardiology including electrophysiology, interventional, noninvasive cardiology and pediatric/adult congenital.  Our physicians are board certified in cardiology and are acknowledged both nationally and locally as leaders in the field of cardiovascular care.  The group is supported by a full-time staff of nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, medical assistants, and certified technologists.

Our ideal candidate will be board certified, possess a current Virginia NP/PA license and have cardiology experience.  New grads will also be considered.

Farmville is a vibrant and growing small town located in the heart of Virginia. Two reputable universities, Longwood, and Hampden Sydney, bring culture and arts to the area and the 31 mile long High Bridge Trail offers great walking and cycling (new single-track trails added) opportunities and is accessible right in the busy historic shopping district.  Gorgeous countryside, rich history, good restaurants, a brewery, a hip updated hotel with rooftop bar, and a wine tasting room round out the fun. Richmond, Charlottesville, and Lynchburg are all between a 50–75-minute drive.
